Lung cancer continues to be a leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Hong Kong, with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounting for about 82% of cases in 2021. Recent findings from the World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) 2024, highlight promising advancements in the treatment of advanced NSCLC (aNSCLC).
Cervical cancer (CC) is the 4th most common cancer in women worldwide, with approximately 660,000 new cases in 2022. In Hong Kong, it was the 7th most common cancer among women in 2021, with approximately 600 new cases and 178 deaths. Here we report new findings on CC treatment and prognostic methods from three abstracts published at the annual ESMO Gynaecological Cancer Congress, 20–22 June 2024, Florence, Italy.
